Metaphorical Jewelry, The Door Pendants
Doors are a perfect metaphor for change. Like chapters in a book, they provide us with fresh beginnings and intriguing endings. They swing open to future possibilities and close quietly on past (and sometimes painful) experiences. Doors can protect us, surprise us, entice us, mystify us and make us pause. It’s amazing how much of our lives are lived between the opening and closing of doors.
These pieces were featured in the fall 2008 issue of Belle Armoire Jewelry. The pendants have vintage text sealed between two five panel doors.
